Can electrodes be cleaned instead of replaced?
Sometimes. Scale and film on stainless rods cause false dry signals. We clean, test continuity, then replace only what fails.

That is almost never “the booster died”. It is the transfer set, the electrodes, or the duty-standby changeover. AOT traces the control before swapping iron.
How Singapore transfer sets run
Low-level tank (often basement or ground) feeds a pair of transfer pumps. Roof-tank electrodes (high / low / extra-low) tell the panel when to start, stop and alarm. A stuck electrode or oxidised holder looks exactly like a dead pump.
After the roof tank is full, the booster pump raises pressure to the risers. We will not quote a booster replacement until the transfer path is proven.

- Pump mechanical: seal, impeller, motor
