Can I just switch the jockey off?
No. The main fire pump will then start on every drip. Fix the leak-off or the switch.

Jockey pump Singapore — the small pump that never rests
If the fire pump room cycles all night, start with the jockey, not the main hydrant or sprinkler pump. AOT traces leak-off, pressure-switch differential and the vessel before anyone quotes a new diesel set.
What a jockey is for
Fire risers leak a little. The jockey (pressure-maintenance pump) tops that up so the main hydrant or sprinkler pump stays off. When the jockey cannot keep up, the main pump false-starts — noisy, expensive, and a failed monthly test.
Vertical multistage sets (often Grundfos CR-class, also Wilo and others) are the usual Singapore jockey. We work from the nameplate as an independent contractor — see brands.
