Q: What is an ejector pit pump?

An ejector pit (sewage ejector) collects wastewater below the sewer invert and pumps it up to the drain line. When the pump fails, the pit overflows. AOT surveys, services or replaces ejector pumps for homes, condos and commercial sites in Singapore.

Ejector pit pumps

An ejector pit sits below the sewer invert. Wastewater collects and a sewage pump lifts it to the drain. Failed floats, seized pumps and blocked discharge pipes cause overflow and smell. We inspect the pit, controls and pump, then repair or replace.

Pump labour follows the same anchors as other AOT pump work: install from S$120, repair from S$80 — ejector replacements are still quoted after we see the pit, because lifting and isolation vary. Parts and GST extra.
